A Quick Break From Italy

Hey readers (I know you are out there!).

I know you are all waiting for my next post on Venice with bated breath, but when a friend posted this to Facebook, I had to share.

Like my pre-treeplanting-season-of-2013-self, many of you probably have little to no idea what treeplanting is like on the day to day basis. While I have never planted a single tree myself, I was lucky enough to be a part of camp in a different capacity and experience it second-hand by living side-by-side with the planters and management as the camp cook.

This writer/photographer has captured the spirit of treeplanting with his words and photos...if you have no intention of sleeping in a tent and pushing yourself to the limit for 3 months, but would like to experience it vicariously, check out his blog here. Start at the bottom. Or if you don't have time to read, just scroll through the photos. It's beautiful.

Beautiful photos and they sure do capture it well.. meaning, it reinforces to me that no, I don't think tree planting would have been for me!
